Assessing snaring status
|
Following the discovery of the poached waterbuck limb
on Green Park, we visited Eburu community area bordering Green Park because
it was suspected to be snaring site. It was discovered that there was a dug
out trench on which there were several dug out trap holes within potato
planting field
|
Possible site
where waterbuck was trapped was identified. We visited Eburu Chief’s office
and reported the matter. Chief agreed to hold a baraza on the same and urge
the dug outs to be filled with soil since they were even dangerous to
residence and farm hands. A follow up will be made to assess the action
taken.
